Mr. Marin earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs from George Washington University in 2006, a Juris Doctor from City University of New York School of Law in 2010, and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation, with a Certificate in Estate Planning, from Villanova University School of Law Graduate Tax Program in 2012.
From September 2021 through May 2026, Mr. Marin served as a Family Enterprise Advisor with Cadence Bank in Dallas, Texas (later integrated into Huntington National Bank). In that role, he advised business owners and multigenerational families regarding wealth, tax, governance, succession, and estate planning matters. His responsibilities included working with clients and their advisory teams to identify planning opportunities and risks, reviewing legal and financial structures, and developing integrated planning strategies aligned with family governance, business succession, estate and wealth transfer planning, liquidity planning, and long-term capital stewardship. He regularly coordinated with legal, tax, fiduciary, and financial professionals in connection with client planning matters.
From June 2016 through August 2021, Mr. Marin served as Corporate Vice President and Case Writer with New York Life Insurance Company as a member of The Nautilus Group in Addison, Texas. In that role, he worked with financial professionals and business owners and high-net-worth client cases involving tax, estate, business succession, and wealth transfer planning matters. His responsibilities included developing legal, tax, and financial planning analyses, assisting with estate planning and business succession considerations, and supporting advanced planning concepts associated with wealth transfer and liquidity strategies.
From August 2014 through May 2016, Mr. Marin served as an Associate with Wescott Financial Advisory Group in the greater Philadelphia area. In that role, he supported high-net-worth clients on estate, tax, and wealth transfer planning matters, analyzed client fact patterns, identified planning issues, and assisted in the development of financial and estate planning recommendations in coordination with clients and outside advisors.
From August 2012 through July 2014, Mr. Marin served as a Trust and Estate Associate with Merrill Lynch in Pennington, New Jersey. In that role, he supported clients and advisors in trust, estate, and wealth transfer matters, reviewed trust agreements and estate planning documents, analyzed planning objectives, and coordinated with financial advisors and trust professionals regarding trust and estate planning considerations.
Mr. Marin holds the Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) certification and the Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®) designation. He was admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
